Upgrades and Renovations

Fernwood Hotel & Convention Center is working on upgrading and improving the overall facility and guest experience for 2013! Some notable improvements the new ownership and management have worked on are creating three new eating establishments right at Fernwood in the hotel lobby area. The Famous Crystal Ballroom and additional banquet spaces have just been remodeled and renovated. A new Fitness area has been relocated to be closer by the indoor pool. Upgrades to hotel rooms are currently in design phase and will be an exciting new phase for 2013! New Restaurants include:

  • Big Daddy's- A Pocono dining favorite spot is now at Fernwood Hotel. Big Daddy's features a wide variety of selections from Steaks to Sandwiches, Salads to great Appetizers, Chicken, Pasta; you name it Big Daddy's has it! A family friendly atmosphere and while you are there don't forget to try our famous BBQ Ribs.
  • Bleachers Sports Bar & Grill- A friendly pub atmosphere with most menu items from $10 and under. Karaoke on Fridays, Live Dj on Saturdays and Pool tables for the family to play while enjoying their meal.
  • New York Bagel & Deli - Offering fresh brewed Coffee, Breakfast Sandwiches, Ice Cream and Sundaes for the kids, freshly baked Pizzas and New York Style Deli Sandwiches. The Fernwood Gift Shop is located inside NYBD as well.

Additional Property Improvements within the last 3-5 months:

  • 3 New Onsite Restaurants
  • Newly Remodeled Crystal Ballroom with State of the Art LED Lighting and the Poconos Largest Crystal Chandeliers.
  • Newly Remodeled, Delaware and Bushkill Banquet Rooms.
  • Expanded Event Center to over 30,000 sq.ft. with New Carpeting and Walls.
  • Process of designing new looks for upgrading Hotel Rooms has begun.
  • New Fitness Center located by Indoor Pool.
  • Kids Pizza Party Room added to Game Zone arcade for private parties.
  • New Outdoor Pool Island Themed Bar and Cabana area have been added.
  • All Indoor Outdoor Pools, Jacuzzis and Kiddies pools have been drained, scrubbed and repainted.
  • New Pathways and Sidewalks added around the Hotel.
  • New Facade for Fernwood Hotel currently in Progress.
